the story behind supernova

As a busy mum of three, I've visited lots of play centres & found it difficult finding one locally to take my younger children to that meets all our needs. My 18 month old would be running around with nothing stopping her entering the older areas or she'd want me to play with her which was difficult as there was never anywhere to safely put my newborn down. She'd be stuck in her pram or my arms the whole time and when it was time to go, I'd always leave a mug of cold coffee behind!

Every visit ended up pretty stressful and my mum and I would chat about what we'd do differently. So after lots of discussions, ideas and the fact there is nothing local to me, I decided to take the plunge and set up Supernova!

I've created (along with lots of help from family!) somewhere your little ones aged 5 & under can explore, learn through activities that stimulate their senses & engage in imaginative play all whilst you can either join in or sit back and relax!

The play area has been decorated using calm colours throughout and is made up of eight areas for little ones to discover including a designated safe space just for pre-crawlers to sit or lay down in with age appropriate toys. We have also provided baby bouncers & jumperoos they can use too to make sure you really do get that much-needed break to enjoy a hands free cuppa.

In our cafe area we serve Teapig teas, lovely fresh coffee, soft drinks & delicious cakes with vegan & gluten free options too. Knowing how particular little ones can be when it comes to food choices, they are welcome to bring their own lunch/ snacks and eat at either our Teddy bears picnic table, at your table or in a highchair.

I've truly put my experiences as a mum into every single thought & design of the play centre and you'll discover lots of special touches to make life that little bit easier!
